No Way Out — Sic Semper Tyrannis EP

Streetpunk Uploads Part 4
For those who aren't in the know, Sic Semper Tyrannis is the motto of the Commonwealth. It's about murdering people who try to tell you what to do, Brutus style. Our seal is also the only one in the states that displays nipple. I'd like to see someone try and prove another state is harder than us. Do it pussay, you won't.

Anyway, No Way Out played a pretty big part in my punk experience, and in the Richmond scene in general, along with the Social Dropouts. I can remember a couple of occasions when Matt, the singer, threw up while playing live. Punx. This EP is generally well recorded, and showcases the energy and urgency of the band. While I do have an argument against Matt's statement that "hardcore isn't punk rock," the lyrics are generally pretty good, in a negative-youth, very-angry-at-life kind of way. There's also a sweet 70s punk cover.

No Way Out was a pretty big punx band from Richmond for a good three years. They've gone on tour with Insurgency, put out a demo and this EP, and recorded a few tracks for an unreleased 7", some of which are available on their myspace.
